If it’s not practical for you to launch your boat yourself at Millwall you can have your boat towed overnight from Ham to the start at Millwall. Several boats will be rafted up at Ham for the overnight tow to the start. This will be done by an experienced contractor who will leave your boat on the beach at Millwall ready for you to board on the day of the race. Every care is taken to protect the boats but this tow is undertaken at your risk. Attach fenders if required.
To be included in the tow your boat must be in the water at Ham by 5pm on the Friday, either being craned in between 12 and 5pm or launched by your crew by 5pm. Don’t forget to bring a boat trolley if required.
Your towing vehicle and trailer can then be left in the nearby car park at Ham. The car park is available until Sunday evening and closes on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm. There is security on site. Click here for a parking permit.
The tow costs £85 and when we receive your tow request we will email you a Towing Card which should be printed off A4 size, laminated or waterproofed in some way and attached to the seat of your boat. A second Tow Card should be clearly displayed in your tow vehicle. You will receive a Paypal invoice for the Tow service.
